Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior experience in mental health?

No! We provide comprehensive training for all volunteers. What matters most is compassion, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Is there a minimum time commitment?

Most roles require 2-10 hours per month, but this varies by position. We'll work with your schedule to find the right fit.

Do I need to be Catholic to volunteer?

Most roles require active Catholic faith, but some positions (like administrative support or events) are open to all who support our mission.

What if I have my own mental health challenges?

Many of our volunteers have personal experience with mental illness. This can be a valuable asset, but we ask that volunteers be in a stable place in their own recovery.

Is there a background check required?

Yes, for certain roles (especially those involving direct service with vulnerable populations), we require background checks to ensure safety.

Can I volunteer remotely?

Yes! Some roles like resource development, social media, and administrative support can be done remotely. Let us know your preferences.
